Communion
Celebrating communion remembers Jesus, how He gave Himself completely for us. Communion isn’t just a ritual, but it is an act of Worship.
Communion is a timeless communication of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Who should take communion? When? How often? What does it really mean. Learn the answers and more.
It all started with Johnny Berguson. Johnny and his Arabian trick horse, AL-Mar-ah Majestic Sheik, performed bridle-less trick horse shows across the U.S. and Canada. Everywhere they went, Johnny shared the Good News message with audiences. The message is, because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we can be transferred from the domain of darkness to God’s Kingdom of light.
Johnny started Kingdom, which is a media and supplies company, after his performance schedule unexpectedly collapsed. Kingdom started as a media company, providing a horse training cassette series by Johnny where he also shared the Christian faith. Then, Johnny expanded his business by supplying tapes, equipment and other items to churches. Kingdom grew rapidly and became a Fortune 500 company twice. Tragically we lost Sheik. But the testimony and Johnny’s commitment to sharing the Good News still carries on.
The story of Kingdom begins during those years, when “Johnny and the Sheik” were busy traveling. They performed for crowds as small as 14, and as large as 30,000. They went to small, rural churches, as well as to events as large as the U.S. Arabian National Championship Horse Show. Add the TV broadcasts and magazine columns, and it looked like a secure future. But it wasn’t what God had in mind… “Suddenly, in just one week’s time,” Johnny explains, “our entire itinerary collapsed. And our schedule for the rest of the year was empty. My wife and I were devastated and confused.”
Throughout the years, Johnny began to be convicted that he needed to connect people to each other and God. From that connection, Kingdom Daily Communion has been birthed. It is a place where people can make a personal connection with God and share the Lord’s Supper with others.
